Windows Vista being new has many issues. One of the biggest issues is the failure to get ipaddress from DHCP due to Vistas new DHCP implementation. Since editing the registry and determining the adapter through GUID to apply the registry hack to fix the problem can be a pain for some. I wrote a small tool to make it easier for people to fix the problem...download it here..

To use the tool is simple

1. Click on "Query Adapter" to get the list of network adapters in your systmer

2. Select the adapter you wish to fix. Reboot your system and see if you can get an IP from DHCP.

3. If you wish to undo the fix, select the adapter and choose "Reset to Vista Default".

Reported by one of our readers DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle should be the correct registry key so in order to cover all areas I added this registry key tweak to the tool. So it might actually help some more people... Thanks to Milan Oravec for the tip.. Download it HERE...

	I have tried Ies4Linux, I suppose it is borderline-satisfactory for testing sites in, but who cares about IE5 and 5.5 anymore? The IE7 is still in "beta", although IE 8 is now Beta in Windows. 	Had to do some extra stuff After lots of messing around, I found that this worked for me:    1. Added the registry keys as per the Microsoft Article.      2. Ran the following command to reset the winsock catalogue:    C:\> netsh winsock reset catalog    3. Rebooted the machine. It's been working fine ever since. See   here. Guest Report

	OK Hi! There is wrong regsitry entry name that you sets in your tool. If you change your DhcpConnDisableBcastFlagToggle to DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and set it to 1, it will solwe problems with not MS dhcps!     By the way, its is useful program.    Tahnks!    Milan Guest Report
